How to Transfer Stock Between Warehouses

Move inventory with approve-and-ship in-transit workflow between locations.

Step 1. Open Warehouse → Stock Transfers and create a transfer with from/to warehouses, date, and line quantities.
Step 2. Save as draft, then open Transfer details.
Step 3. Click Approve & Ship — stock leaves the source warehouse and moves to in-transit status.
Step 4. When goods arrive at destination, click Receive Transfer — stock is added to the destination warehouse.
Step 5. Review the Journal entries tab if accounting posts in-transit and destination inventory entries.

Tips

Delete a warehouse only when no stock remains — transfer quantity out first.
Suggested destination bins may appear on the transfer screen when storage locations are configured.
