Store your written EPR compliance plan and Producer Responsibility Organization details alongside the data.
You flag your EPR-covered items once and assign a packaging BOM. From then on, Biznsbook records packaging-flow events automatically when covered goods ship into California, Oregon, Colorado, or Maine — one event per material, with weight and fee calculated from per-state rates. Group events into reporting periods, close them with locked totals, and download a ready-to-file CSV.
Manual logs skip sales and materials. When a state asks for your data, the gaps are obvious — and indefensible.
A single weight per SKU ignores caps, labels, and shipper materials — so your fee totals and CSV exports are wrong from the start.
Four states, four fee schedules, four reporting windows — and your compliance plan lives in someone's drive, unversioned.
Every sale of an EPR-covered item into a regulated state records a packaging-flow event per BOM material — no parallel logbook.
Download a per-state CSV from the dashboard instantly, or queue a date-range export from the Export Portal.
Store a versioned EPR compliance plan and hold Producer Responsibility Organization details right in the module.
Flag your EPR items once and let Biznsbook capture the rest.
Turn extended producer responsibility from a spreadsheet burden into an automatic, state-ready record.
Get compliant in four steps — most of which run automatically.

Quick answers about packaging-flow events, covered states, reporting periods, and the CSV export.
EPR packaging compliance software helps producers meet US state extended producer responsibility laws by flagging EPR-covered items, recording packaging-flow events as covered goods ship into regulated states, calculating fees from per-state rates, and producing reporting-period totals with a ready-to-file CSV. Biznsbook captures most of this automatically as part of normal sales.
Biznsbook ships with pre-seeded covered states for California (SB 54), Oregon, Colorado (HB 22-1355), and Maine (LD 1541), each with legislation name, effective date, fee rate, and optional tonnage threshold. Only shipments into these covered states generate packaging-flow events.
When an EPR-covered item is sold into a covered state, Biznsbook records one packaging-flow event per material on the item's packaging BOM — capturing units sold, per-unit weight, total kg, and the calculated fee. Weights come from the BOM, with a fallback to the item's single packaging material when no BOM exists. Jurisdiction is resolved from the fulfilling warehouse state first, then the customer state.
Biznsbook applies each covered state's pre-loaded USD/kg fee rate to the packaging weight captured on every flow event. Per-state cards on the dashboard show total weight, calculated fee, and event count, and closing a reporting period recalculates and locks its total weight and fee.
A reporting period groups packaging-flow events by state, year, and window (Annual or Q1–Q4). You can bulk-assign matching unassigned events to a period in one click, assign a Producer Responsibility Organization, track submission status, and close the period to lock its total weight and calculated fee.
Yes. Download a per-state CSV straight from the dashboard, or queue an export by date range and optional state filter through the Export Portal. The 15-column packaging-flow CSV includes legislation name, material type, resin code, weights, fee rate, calculated fee, and reporting-period id — UTF-8 with BOM for clean Excel opening.
An EPR compliance plan is the written document state laws require, describing your material inventory and waste-reduction strategy. Biznsbook stores a versioned plan with effective date, covered state codes, optional recyclability improvements and producer registration details, plus a plan document upload. Activating a new version archives the previous one automatically.
Biznsbook retains EPR packaging-flow records for 36 months — California SB 54's minimum. A daily retention scan raises an in-app warning before records age out so you can export or archive them. Records are never deleted automatically. Talk to sales to enable the module for your account.
