Procurement guides for teams that approve before they order

Quick answer Procurement is the step before a purchase order. These guides cover raising a requisition, approving it, setting a budget that warns or blocks, sending a request for quote, comparing supplier prices, and turning an approved requisition into a draft purchase order in Purchase. Procurement does not receive stock and does not post journals.

What you will find in this guide cluster

These guides are for buyers, approvers, and owners who want a request on record before money is committed to a supplier. Each one follows the Procurement add-on: requisitions, approvals, budgets, requests for quote, and a draft purchase order. Purchase remains the place where that order is approved, received, and billed.

Frequently asked questions

What is procurement software in an ERP?

It is the record of what the company wants to buy, who approved it, and which supplier was chosen, before a purchase order exists. In Biznsbook that record is a requisition. The purchase order is created afterwards as a draft in Purchase.

Does procurement replace purchase orders?

No. Biznsbook Procurement creates a draft purchase order and then stops. Purchase still approves the order, receives the goods, and matches the supplier bill.

Is Procurement required?

No. It is an optional add-on at $10 per month. It needs the Purchase module. A company can leave it unticked on the pricing page.
