Biznsbook for schools and training centres uses Memberships & Fees as a fee register. Each student is enrolled on a fee plan, for example tuition per term, transport monthly, or an admission fee as a joining fee, and the parent or guardian is the payer. Academic terms set when fees are due, and a student who joins mid-term is billed for the current term straight away. Scholarships and sibling discounts are a percentage with a reason. Every period raises a charge to the guardian (a draft invoice when Sales is licensed), payments are recorded as usual, and Arrears lists what each family still owes.
Term invoices are typed by hand, discounts are forgotten and nobody has a clear list of who owes what.
Every term someone types an invoice for each family.
Scholarships and sibling discounts live in someone's memory.
Arrears are worked out from a spreadsheet the week before reminders go out.
Students who join late are billed late, or not at all.
Each operational pain maps to a specific Biznsbook app. Click through for feature detail.
